The brothers, Charalambos and Ioannis Floridis, started their successful career in the meat trade in 1980, taking over the family business, which their father Konstantinos had since 1953. The company became quickly one of the leading in the meat industry and following the development of the market, in 2000 Floridis SA was created in new state-of-the-art privately owned facilities for meat processing and standardization of high quality products. In the continuous development of the company contribute a) the investments in building and mechanical equipment, b) its executives, c) the even and specialized staff of 285 people. Confidence in terms of consistent quality, availability, competitive prices, wide range of products and customer dynamics, ranked it among the largest companies "Diamonds" of the entire Greek Industry and Trade according to press releases, in the year 2005. Naftemporiki published an article in 2008 ranking the company in the 100 largest food and beverage companies. In 2010 ICAP included it in the STRONGEST COMPANIES IN GREECE. The advantages that Floridis SA inherited through its many years, are so important, that they pushed it to new investments, such as the creation of a new privately owned factory, 5,000sqm and a total of 10,500sqm with a storage capacity of 2,500 tons, which operates from at the beginning of 2010, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, following international standards and certifications and aiming at the complete upgrade of its products to quality-price for the benefit of its customers and the gain of consumer confidence.

Floridis SA is strongly aware of environmental issues (Biological Cleaning - Paper Recycling, etc.), transmitting ecological messages as a major sponsor for beach cleaning and tree planting, in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Youth and the Youth Institute. It is also socially aware of offers to vulnerable populations, institutions, churches and schools. The company meets all the conditions and technical specifications provided by national and Community legislation for quality and safe food. It has the veterinary approval codes A133, PE60, F70, IMP135, which allow the legal and safe activity of the company in all areas of processing and marketing of meat and its products. Implements Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) according to the International standard EN ISO 22000: 2005 as well as the International food standard IFS Food, version 6. Daily quality controls are carried out at all stages of the production process (receipt, processing, storage, distribution) , which ensure the production of safe and quality products. The company is finally framed by a continuously trained staff in the rules of Good Hygiene Practice and Good Industrial Practice, the implementation of which is its obligation and the primary concern of the company.
